Hulu is resurrecting Futurama

Good news, everyone: Hulu has announced that it's reviving the classic science fiction comedy, Futurama. It's the latest revival that the series has experienced over the years, and it comes after being off the air for nearly a decade.

Created by Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Futurama originally premiered on Fox back in 1999 until 2003. It followed Philip J. Fry, a slacker pizza-delivery guy who fell into a cryogenic chamber and was accidentally frozen for a thousand years, waking up in the year 3000. Upon reawakening, he has to figure out how to adapt to this new world, and ends up working at Planet Express, an interstellar package delivery company, with a group of zany coworkers: Leela, a competent, one-eyed mutant who captains the company's starship and is eventually Fry's girlfriend; Bender, a sarcastic, alcoholic robot; Professor Farnsworth, Fry's great-great-great-great-great nephew who founded Planet Express to fund his various experiments and inventions; Amy, a rich girl who's a perpetual intern at Planet Express; Hermes, the company's Jamaican accountant and HR bureaucrat; Zoidberg, the company's alien doctor, and a whole bunch of other regular characters that they meet along the way.
