Amazon is adapting God of War with the writers of Children of Men
There's been a glut of video game-to-tv show adaptations in the streaming pipeline lately. Paramount Plus is launching Halo in just a few short weeks, Netflix is working on a BioShock film, as well as ones based on Cyberpunk 2077 (Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Assassins Creed, Tomb Raider, and Resident Evil, just to name a couple.
Amazon's been getting in on that as well: it's been working on an adaptation of Fallout with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy (the creators of HBO's Westworld) and a series based on Mass Effect. Another appears to be on the way: an adaptation of Sony's God of War franchise, from the writers who first adapted The Expanse and wrote Iron Man and Children of Men: Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus, along with the creator of Amazon's The Wheel of Time, Rafe Judkins.
