Here are the finalists for the 2025 Hugo Awards
This year's World Science Fiction Convention is taking place in Seattle later this summer, and ahead of the event, the con has announced the finalists for this year's Hugo Awards.
The awards are the best-known for the science fiction community: nominated and voted on each year by the convention's members. Here are last year's winners.
This is one of those interesting years where the finalists are pretty different from the books that I would have thought would end up on the list (Any of the novels here I would have thought would have made the list), and it's a good reminder that fandom isn't homogeneous! I've heard a lot of good thing about many of these entries, and there are a bunch that I'll be adding to my TBR soon.
Here are the finalists for this year's award: (I've added links to where the stories are available online.)
