Jonathan Nolan will direct Amazon's Fallout series pilot
The series is expected to enter production later this year.
It looks as though Amazon Prime Video is moving forward into apocalyptic future: it's brought on Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner to serve as showrunners for its upcoming TV adaptation of the Fallout video game series, while Jonathan Nolan will direct the pilot episode later this year.
Amazon ordered the adaptation back in July 2020 with a "substantial series commitment" from Westworld creators Nolan and Lisa Joy, who'd signed an overall deal with the streaming service in 2019. They've been busy: in addition to adapting Fallout, they're currently working on an adaptation of William Gibson's novel The Peripheral.
